AI Made in Morocco

Morocco has taken a major step in shaping its digital future with the official rollout of “Maroc IA 2030,” a new national roadmap designed to guide the country’s artificial intelligence ambitions over the coming years. Unveiled in Rabat at a high-level gathering focused on the use of AI in public services, the strategy signals Morocco’s intention to develop home-grown, trusted technologies under the banner “AI Made in Morocco.”

The roadmap builds on momentum generated at the National Artificial Intelligence Conference in mid-2025 and moves the discussion from vision to delivery. Government leaders, technology experts, academics, and representatives from both the public and private sectors came together to outline how AI can modernise administration, improve service delivery, and strengthen national competitiveness. Central to the plan is the creation of JAZARI ROOT, the first building block of a nationwide network of AI centres of excellence. These future Jazari Institutes will connect universities, researchers, startups, and innovators, supporting skills development, applied research, testing, and entrepreneurship within a unified national framework.

As Morocco accelerates investment in digital skills and emerging technologies, the demand for AI talent, data specialists, engineers, and innovation-driven businesses is set to rise sharply. This momentum will be reflected at Jobs Expo Casablanca 2026, taking place on Saturday, 30 May 2026, where employers, educators, and jobseekers will connect around the opportunities emerging from Morocco’s growing tech and AI ecosystem. With “Maroc IA 2030” now underway, the Expo offers a timely platform for professionals and graduates to explore careers shaping the country’s AI-powered future.
