Casablanca Showcases Industrial Ambitions Following Landmark WAM Morocco Event

Casablanca has reinforced its status as a regional centre for industrial innovation following the successful conclusion of the first World Advanced Manufacturing & Future Mobility Exhibition (WAM Morocco), held from 20 to 22 January. The event brought together global industry leaders, policymakers, and technology experts, highlighting Morocco’s determination to play a leading role in Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing across Africa and the wider region.

Over three days, WAM Morocco hosted more than 60 speakers from over 20 countries, delivering an extensive programme focused on the technologies and strategies shaping the future of industry. Discussions explored artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sustainable manufacturing, energy transition, data infrastructure, supply chain resilience, and global investment trends, underscoring how industrial transformation is now closely linked to economic competitiveness and national resilience.

The strong international participation and depth of expertise on display have positioned WAM Morocco as a significant new platform for industrial dialogue and collaboration. For Morocco, the event also highlighted the growing demand for advanced skills in engineering, digital technologies, energy systems, and manufacturing management as the country accelerates its industrial and digital strategies.

This momentum is expected to carry through into 2026, when employers, innovators, and jobseekers will converge at Jobs Expo Casablanca 2026, taking place on Saturday, 30 May 2026.
