Senior government officials, policymakers, cybersecurity specialists, and industry leaders have gathered in Rabat this week for the launch of the Cybersecurity Leadership Executive Program, a major initiative aimed at enhancing cyber resilience and digital security across Africa.

The programme, which runs until Friday, is organised by ANCA-CERT, the operational arm of the African Network of Cybersecurity Authorities (ANCA), with support from Morocco's General Directorate for Information Systems Security (DGSSI).

As digital transformation continues across governments, businesses, and public services, cybersecurity has become an increasingly important issue for countries seeking to protect critical infrastructure, sensitive data, and digital economies. The Rabat programme provides a forum for leaders from across the continent to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and explore practical approaches to emerging cyber threats.

Participants are examining a range of strategic issues, including cybersecurity governance, digital resilience, cyber crisis management, workforce development, and international cooperation. The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between African nations while promoting a more coordinated approach to cybersecurity policy and preparedness.

The programme also highlights the growing demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals across Africa. As organisations increase investment in digital technologies, the need for expertise in information security, risk management, cyber defence, compliance, and incident response continues to rise.

Industry analysts expect cybersecurity careers to remain among the fastest-growing areas within the wider technology sector, creating opportunities for graduates, IT professionals, engineers, analysts, and business leaders with specialist security skills.

Morocco has increasingly positioned itself as a hub for digital innovation and technology development, with cybersecurity playing a central role in supporting economic growth and digital trust.

For professionals interested in exploring opportunities in technology, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and other high-growth sectors, Jobs Expo Casablanca offers a unique opportunity to connect directly with employers and recruiters.

Taking place on 25 July 2026 at The Venue, Downtown Casablanca, from 10:00 to 17:00, the free-to-attend event will bring together leading employers, career experts, and training providers. Visitors can explore hundreds of job opportunities, attend live seminars, receive career guidance, and upload their CV to JobExpo.ma to be matched with suitable vacancies before the event.

As Morocco and Africa continue to invest in digital infrastructure and cyber resilience, demand for skilled professionals is expected to remain strong across the technology sector.
