Morocco has taken another decisive step to strengthen its employment landscape with the launch of a new entrepreneurship programme developed in partnership with the African Development Bank (AfDB). The initiative, known as the Entrepreneurship Support and Financing Programme for Job Creation (PAFE-Emplois), is designed to turn the growth potential of very small and medium-sized enterprises into tangible employment opportunities across the country.
Rather than focusing solely on access to finance, PAFE-Emplois introduces a results-driven model that links business support directly to job creation. Entrepreneurs will benefit from a combination of tailored financing solutions, targeted incentives, and hands-on operational support, all aimed at helping businesses scale in a way that delivers measurable employment outcomes. The programme reflects a broader shift toward accountability and impact, ensuring that enterprise development translates into real economic and social value.
Aligned with Morocco’s national Employment Roadmap and the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, the initiative underscores the country’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth. Its rollout comes at a time when entrepreneurship, skills development, and workforce readiness are high on the national agenda, key themes that will also take centre stage at Jobs Expo Casablanca taking place on May 30 2026.
As policymakers, employers, and jobseekers gather at the Expo, programmes like PAFE-Emplois highlight how strategic partnerships and innovation can play a central role in shaping Morocco’s future of work.
