The latest figures provide a snapshot of continued business creation across Morocco and point to an active environment for entrepreneurs, companies and professionals.
OMPIC announced:
“At the end of the first seven months of 2026, 60,908 new companies were registered in the commercial register in Morocco.”
Legal Entities Account for Three-Quarters of Registrations
The figures show a clear majority of new registrations were legal entities.
Of the 60,908 companies registered between January and July, 45,898 were legal entities, accounting for 75% of all new registrations.
The remaining 15,010 registrations, or 25%, were natural persons.
The split highlights the significant role of formally structured businesses in Morocco's new company registrations. For the labour market, continued business creation can also create opportunities for recruitment, skills development and professional growth as new and expanding companies build their teams.
New Businesses and Morocco's Employment Landscape
The creation of thousands of new businesses has implications beyond entrepreneurship. New companies can contribute to demand for talent across areas such as sales, administration, technology, finance, customer service and management.
For jobseekers, this makes awareness of emerging businesses and growing sectors an important part of a wider career strategy. Building relevant skills and keeping track of new employers can help candidates identify opportunities as companies establish themselves and expand.
Employers, meanwhile, face the challenge of finding candidates with the right combination of technical knowledge, professional skills and adaptability.
Opportunities for Entrepreneurs and Professionals
The latest OMPIC figures also underline the scale of entrepreneurial activity taking place across Morocco.
As more businesses enter the commercial register, opportunities can emerge for professionals who can support growing companies and for entrepreneurs developing their own ideas. Access to the right talent will be particularly important for businesses looking to establish operations, expand their services or compete in increasingly digital markets.
For jobseekers, staying informed about business developments can complement traditional job searching. New company registrations can signal potential sources of future employment, particularly when businesses move from initial setup into recruitment and expansion.
