Morocco Showcases Women-Led Innovation at Green Visionaries Event in Agadir

Entrepreneurs, students, and leaders in sustainable innovation came together on Tuesday, 24 February, for Green Visionaries, a regional panel event highlighting the role of women in driving Morocco’s clean technology and green business sectors.

Hosted at the Cité d’Innovation in Agadir, the event was organized by Women in Cleantech (WiC) and brought together early-stage innovators, climate entrepreneurs, and ecosystem stakeholders to discuss sustainable business solutions and share insights on launching and scaling green ventures.

Green Visionaries builds on the methodology of the global Climate Launchpad competition, the world’s largest green business ideas initiative. By providing structured boot camps, mentoring, and access to a worldwide network of experts, the program aims to transform climate-focused concepts into viable commercial projects. In the Moroccan context, the event is designed to strengthen women’s leadership in cleantech while supporting inclusive, sustainable economic development.

The initiative is supported by Bridgizz, GIZ Morocco, and Technopark Souss Massa, reflecting a broader commitment to fostering a robust, innovative, and environmentally conscious entrepreneurial ecosystem across the region.

Participants at the Agadir event had the opportunity to engage with panel discussions, network with industry leaders, and explore practical strategies for developing climate-oriented businesses. The focus on women-led ventures is seen as crucial to driving both social and economic impact in Morocco’s emerging green economy.
