A new industrial facility dedicated to fiber optic and high-performance network cable production has been officially inaugurated in Berrechid by FBR Cables, in the presence of Ryad Mezzour, Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade.

Representing an investment of MAD 200 million, the 15,000-square-metre plant consolidates the company’s operations into a single industrial platform and is expected to create 165 direct jobs. The facility increases national fiber optic production capacity to 70,000 kilometres annually, meeting a significant share of domestic demand while strengthening Morocco’s position as a regional telecommunications manufacturing hub.

Equipped with advanced production technology, the site manufactures optical fiber solutions alongside high-performance network cables in categories 6, 7, and 8. The expansion supports improved digital connectivity nationwide and enhances supply capacity for major telecommunications operators including Orange Maroc, INWI, and Maroc Telecom.

The project represents a further step in strengthening industrial capability and technological development across Morocco, while contributing to skills development through training and technology transfer initiatives.

As investment in advanced manufacturing and digital infrastructure accelerates, professionals interested in emerging sector opportunities can connect with employers and industry leaders at Jobs Expo Casablanca 2026, taking place on 30 May 2026.

The event will bring together companies across manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, and infrastructure - sectors that are expanding rapidly as Morocco strengthens its industrial base and digital economy.

For job seekers, graduates, and experienced professionals alike, the Expo offers a practical gateway into emerging industries that are shaping the country’s economic future.
